Membership

Being an AAC member provides many benefits in addition to being represented by a Canadian-wide association. Members have a secure website access area to view additional resources and collaborate with other members. Following are just some of the benefits of AAC membership:

AAC has in the recent past, and continues, to perform activities and provide benefits for members, such as the following:

• Expanding certification of auditors to Health and Safety Management System auditors
• Partnering with ECO-Canada/CECAB and Environmental Auditor certifications
• Participating in the CECAB Certification Committee and Sub-committee to influence new requirements and modifications to auditor certification programs
• Establishing Regional Chapters for more localized auditor learning and networking opportunities
• Providing auditor focused input to proposed legislation e.g. Ontario MOE proposed Environmental Penalties legislation
• Representing environmental auditor interests in the development and maintenance of ISO standards
