January Update

The conference will be held May 25-27, 2009 and the key note speaker will be the Commissioner of Environment and Sustainable Development.

Members will be able to renew their membership online in February.

2009 AAC Conference

A reminder that the 2009 Auditing Association of Canada Conference is confirmed for Ottawa Monday, May 25 and Tuesday, 26, with workshops on Wednesday May 27. The sessions will be at the National Arts Centre and the conference hotel for accommodation is the Lord Elgin. When making reservations at the hotel please reference the conference name.

An important "just off the wire" announcement is that the Commissioner of Environment and Sustainable Development, Scott Vaughan has confirmed to be our keynote speaker. We can all look forward to his insights into the activities of his office as a significant component of the Office of the Auditor General of Canada.

Information from the conference committee along with registration materials will be on the AAC website shortly.

2009 Membership Dues

Several of our members have called or written to enquire about their invoices for 2009 dues, and for those with the CHSMSA designation, their annual maintenance fees. Thanks for the follow-up.

We want you to know that we are finalizing an on-line payment process using our new AAC website. This will streamline the payment process. We apologize for the delay, but our planned implementation has been delayed slightly to ensure its effectiveness. The schedule calls for the invoicing process to be available by February 9th. If you need to arrange to pay earlier than that please contact the AAC office.
